The “Messengers of Grace“ session for the Caribbean Territory is made up of eight members, all Haitian nationals, coming from two divisions: Haiti and Guyana respectively.

Two male and five female candidates from Haiti arrived in Jamaica on July 26, 2019.  They were placed in different appointments to interact with English speaking persons in order to practice English, the language that they will be using in Training.  They were joined at the College by one last female candidate from Guyana on August 23, 2019 to form the "Messengers of Grace" session.

On September 8, 2019, their official welcome was held at the Bramwell Booth Memorial Hall in Kingston where Commissioner Devon Haughton, the Territorial Commander, presented them their sessional flag.

A university graduate who is working as an administrative secretary. She was introduced to the Salvation Army and became a soldier a few years ago and God has directed her to full time ministry.

Psalms 84:6 "When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.”

Born from a salvationist family. She is a nurse by profession and is working in the health sector.

Psalms 27:4 “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”

She is an active local officer serving as Junior Soldiers sergeant in her Corps and the Assistant Home League Secretary.

 


Cadet Nahomie Pierre
Port-au-Prince Central Corps
Haiti Division

Mark 8:36 "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul.”

She is a commissioned band member and Sunday school teacher.

A university graduate at (INAGHEI ) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She has a diploma in Science Administration. She was working as an accountant before leaving her job to enter Training.

East La Penitence Corps
Guyana Division

Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

As a youth leader, she was engaged in all the corps and divisional activities and was strongly recommended by the local officers of her corps.

She is a nurse by profession and very interested in the welfare of people, animals and the environment.

She has been exposed to many aspects of ministry, including scouting and the corps cadet program.

She has worked as a teacher and as a corps  leader.
