Dear friends,

Seasons’ Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. It was like yesterday we welcome the year 2024 which is quickly ending, and we are getting ready to say welcome to 2025. We thank God for his providential care as we went through the past year and for his precious promises to be with us in the coming years.

As I write my first Christmas message to you, let me say thanks to everyone for your welcoming and supportive spirit to our department. I am also taking the opportunity to thank each one of you deeply for the valuable part you play in leading and reimaging the Women’s Ministries over the years and during 2024, Sounding the Battle Cry for women and girls in your communities to be better emotionally, spiritually, and physically. 2024 may have been a challenging year for many of you after Covid to get people back to meetings; changing of appointments, taking up new and added responsibilities, some have had to deal directly with natural disasters responses such as the hurricane Beryl in Jamaica and other tropical storms that passed through our territory; and those who did not experience the direct hit of hurricanes may have felt a great extent of its effects and continued rains leading to serious flooding that panicked your divisions or districts, thanks for your ministry and courage. In Haiti leaders had constant political unrest and destabilization affecting your divisional planned events but God protects. For other leaders who had to go through surgeries and serious medical intervention for family members we thank God for his grace, we can say “Hitherto.” Yes, as the song writer said, “some through the waters, some through the flood, some through fire or the Sun or heat waves, some through great sorrow but all of us are victorious through the Savior ‘s blood.” Yes, through them all we learn to trust God and God gave us a song in every dark season and all day long because some of us celebrated His faithfulness in congress in Surinam, we also had women’s camp, rallies, and other gatherings in various places. Jesus has been and is still a faithful Savior to all of us.

Sincere thanks to everyone who lead a team or was a team member in helping to support or have reached out to affected places, such as Western Jamaica division and St. Vincent by providing practical, spiritual, and emotional help and assistance to our people across the territory. Those with sustainable project, or whatever mean you used to alleviate the condition of those in need, God bless you. Deep gratitude to our local, overseas, and international donors who have contributed to rapid responses and provided support in time of need. We acknowledged your hard work, self-sacrifice, and dedication to the work of the Lord. Thanks to our prayer warriors, past and actual leaders, partners for your contribution to the success of the 2024, victories and achievements.

Though we do not know about tomorrow, no Idea what 2025 will bring to us, we have no doubt that Jesus who came as our Savior is the same Yesterday today and forevermore, He is unchangeable. He will take care of all our situations as He always does in the past years. Our theme “Rise up from the Ashes and Shine,” will surely give us many opportunities to continue reaching out focusing on People, Mission and Legacy as we continue to sound the battle cry, seeking Justice and help the oppressed through JESUS who was born to save the world.

“He did not come to judge the world, He did not come to blame; He did not only come to seek, it was to save He came. WHEN WE CALL HIM SAVIOUR, WE CALL HIM BY HIS NAME”. Matthew 1 Verse 21 “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name JESUS because He will save his people from their sin.”

Colonel Jennifer Lyons joins me in sending you and your family our warmest Christmas greetings 2024 and hope for a wonderful New Year 2025.

Yours in Christ,
